@technomancy pics and atmels are still made in thru hole. they're just super expensive

i use regular off-the-shelf adapters (actually off-ebay lol) with 2.54 headers, works fine too but they're bulkier
@MightyPork @technomancy well, there's always flip-pins, so you can make carriers that fit in DIP sockets
